BasaMix™ is made up of extremely fine denier Basalt Multifilament Fibers that are non-corrosive, 3-Dimensional isotropic reinforcement.
At only 0.1% by volume, BasaMix™ delivers 100’s of millions of individual, high tenacity fibers that proactively mitigate and control the formation of plastic shrinkage cracking by absorbing the stresses associated with volumetric changes in concrete. They also reduce the rate of bleed and segregation normally found in fresh concrete – thus elevating plastic shrinkage cracking as well.
BasaMix™ Basalt Fibers are designed to provide a “Fiber-Free Finish” while improving surface performance and the overall durability and toughness of concrete. BasaMix™ Basalt Fibers enhance other durability-related characteristics such as: Impact, Fatigue and Freeze / Thaw resistance.
